Or tax me any ads don't show up I would totally get it. And it was like win. Kevin do a radio show and still deal with that I'll have Bob what's the name names Sydney Australia off the air yeah I've I would appreciate that yeah yeah that would it was a tough day MMI mama's diagnosed with cancer about six weeks ago and emit a lot of sleepless nights of the last six weeks kind of waiting is to just see how severe it was going to be in Monte game plan was going to be. And cal built up to yesterday's Oceana a pretty long surgery we were. I would have ever spent as much in hospitals I did yesterday we were there from about 8:30 in the morning. Does he finding out will back for surgery about 230 as everything got delayed. To about a two hour break up back in about 6 o'clock and then we were there tell at least 1130 last night so it was a lot of time in the in the hospital but she's doing good and everything went well she's missed and a couple of organs but that was to be expected come off the surgery so. Mama dirt is us she's hanging in there she's she says she's tough SOB there is no doubt about it well. The unfortunate part because I know your mom so well she's one of the nicer ladies I've ever mad. And all I kept thinking like yesterday you were out and I'm doing the solo thing and I was thinking Russia attacks or should not nice dinner waiting for you to text in situations like that I'm terrible quake let people express how we want express or say what they wanna say ride the only thing that was running through my mind. Was like dude. Yeah yard work's not gonna get done for. I don't know time I know I'd I think your screw it I'm stressing out about this spring there's no doubt about Diana handy if flower bed like what can last gonna happen when that I'm roses are going to be overgrown its like Alan ought to do is mobile on c'mon mama we gotta get you healthy and like I'll immediately and I hospital for a week at war. So whenever let's go give this thing on the road and it was they it was weird not to be working and then spend on a seven hospital I I will say oh days by the way or the worse it's awful there why what is lucky I cancer so we all deal would directly or indirectly you've gone through all fallen winner with your sister in law I literally just like she just found out she's cancer free and Alan Wright is that happens you go into surgery legalize such as kind of the way it works on my dad's a prostate cancer twice now on the last seven years so had been something we all have to deal with and if we all have to handle I will say. Last night I became a firm believer in fart therapy. OK okay and by that I mean so it's about like we were waiting a long time to get updates about how the surgery went to assert your what 56 hours she wants she was in surgery for about seven hours and so is real stressful just kind of wait like all right when are ready to get the call us a long time we just opened and try and everything's going okay. And it's about 930 at night or over Providence and my aunt my dad and I are basically the only ones left in the lobby the only there's like three of us that nobody else left to the place by 930. And this old guy comes walking through. And I don't know if he did it on purpose. I don't know if he's just old and he's just got like a leaky gasket doesn't know what's going on down there. But he only GM world distressed out anxiety he walks through. In just ripped tasks like a old 67 seconds far. And we like look around like great who did the heat that he is far. In many falls it up with a sequel fart it's like 34 seconds long wow. And it immediately changed our like anxiety fear to just dying on the floor laughing about this old dude forwarding. We talked about the length of the fart the total of fart and then we also talked about how the acoustics in the hospital ward good for a fart like rattle off the walls that I'm a believer and and far therapy met like for like ten minutes we were just died on the floor laughing about the situation that he didn't tell you about this pre shows silent and I watched it matte gray like just block and throw just let one go. Did he ever turn around a look you guys to see if you heard because you know I'd maybe was letting go just kept going like it was no biggie how old do you think he was just ballpark to ballpark at mid sixties. That's not a right Arial so I hate. OK I was dizzy Muriel eighty he's at a point where you're just doesn't dare I sixty's kind of a point where he shamelessly probably locked away and we were like wait. He just started. The sec question I would have is did you guys laugh and how far away was he when you started laughing because he for sure heard it right there was there was a 452 shock factor of the these loudness of the fart it just threw us off so it was like 45 seconds so we had to like soak it in Mike actually does happen. And then we just sort of busting out lasting and I would imagine he heard us but if he didn't hear results Clark I don't think you Curtis -- until a listener just texted and I like the RO ST year dude I'm 55 and starting I'm starting to you know walking far I'd like to think it was an old gentleman walking through he saw three stressed out people waiting to lobby obviously knowing we were waiting for a call from a surgeon are from a doctor and thought to himself you know what they can probably use a laugh and I litigants and for a therapy as well one rent or your right he can't control his album either way it's still funny my -- did that I think the last two years in my grandma's life. Because I think she passed away of cancer as well the U2 years prior she didn't have meant but like she was in an age where when she walked. She would walk me. Oh that's fantastic. That is fantastic she either did it know that she was doing it I doesn't think I never know do they are they aware that the far to coming out. And are they just ignoring it or do they generally not have any idea they know included there's a leaky gasket down and I don't think my grammar Neal Mike Graham was pretty Arnie is still like. If we did that's right she would yellows since gold right right but she's why around her mole home doing the same today and she's just crop dust and everywhere. You know I I like to think then it if I get to that age I would pretend like I didn't know what was going on but I do it on purpose just a mass of people. They would have these conversations or does he now. You know he just see it's all about the age if I'm 75. Or older. Depending on what I look like in my health I don't think I have any shame there's no (%expletive) I'd write about it if I don't hear it no shame in your game at all he does let him fly ball and I got to lose I. Amid this is a thirty year old I still have moments in the gym I had one today crimes. I was doing the bench press the G it was like I gotta wait this out because if I push you hard you know MI us well. And I'll tell on him and the far therapies realize still find it humorous no matter how old are serious or adult I get yet know and it made us crack up gestured I anybody that tells you that it's not funny like I I'm sorry. I I really firmly believe I'll be laughing about this to the day I die is just far it's my daughter fart it's funny that's great I do you know what I do I I really screw co workers. I don't know if you do this ever I going to lay out a restroom. And I see that the stalled you've won stall and every restroom and then the urinal wrecked. And I see that the stall as close so there's somebody in there. And it's clear to me. With some individuals that they are leading our own to exit I guilty as charged I'm a waiter I don't like allowing sounds to come out wall somebody else's in the bathroom. IE wait out the way. I was staring at the hurdle up and I will do nothing and I no wait it is no they're uncomfortable tells trillion dollars of what we're doing governor I really do I handle this anymore and I'm sitting on the toilet I can't hold back and then awkwardly chuckle and walk away in my gut. So I came once you are saying on the doors says steaks mail it's going on there to get out of here before this'll restrooms smells a dead animal on that stall no but like that's. That's the universe grade to UN nice little nicer guy terrible day it was it was a long crappy day in it was it was literally like ten minutes before we talk to the surgeon and a discounted it it made us smile made us laugh and I don't know who the guy was but he was he was. He's American hero he's an American hero man if if if there's anybody that's in the mid sixties that was walking around the Providence lobby and let some my gas bill last night at about 93940. A night. Call on the radio show have me on here because you were you provided my family good chart we have a lot of questions that we have we wanted to give your real name we just won in no real answers from people because we appreciate honesty from individuals he won Jesse says I'm always nervous when I get him aside just. Emmett and affording Esther it's a big chairman massage right had a muscles lacks up a little bit yeah nice and loose why had a moment last week in the studio coincidentally not to make the whole segment affording but it was decision we had. We had our promotions. A manager in here and she was talking about giveaway. And then she stuck around that we were joking about something and he shares that worry and you may hear them sometimes. And I made eye contact with view and I think you knew what I did. But I tried the playoff and I started rocking on my it's fair. Because I didn't wanna herds and know that I had cash that was me it was a vetoes the Jeremi Johnson knocked out right would you like an old that eagle I don't and I heard it and I was thing you know Richie did see that this is absolutely fantastic submissive far therapy Israel when I was nine my family was in counseling one session and I ripped a 32 long rambler in front of everyone the counselor was extremely test my family all started laughing super hard. We laugh all the way home never had to go back to counseling. My fart here our family through the that have far therapy you know magical power of a far we got a great show today dirt back on the saddle. On Twitter at turns regular poll question yet you know. Was snowing at some than what we is further if he really us now. I think everybody would vote yes on a hub of the poll questions humbly able fatal poll question that turns ray dirt is at Peter Johnson I'm at Brandon spraying it. A lot of NFL to get you some NFL franchise tags being hit some guys being released we'll start they're coming up next. Adrian Peterson and Jamaal Charles are both getting hit free agency. Will contender pick either up or would they go to crappy team we'll talk about the next interns break on Tuesday on 1080 the fan I. Welcome back here and it is 1217. On 1080 and we are aware of a technical issue and it will be fixed barely soon hopefully we'll fix the glitch was fixed the glitch. Do you like the franchise tag I was thinking about this prior to the show because we were an antibody Adrian Peterson and Jamaal Charles. And steal Kirk cousins we'll get to him as well he got the exclusive franchise tag. Baseball has its version of that in a different way but similar with the arbitration. Do you think like a sport like the MBA would benefit using a franchise tag. Like labels why did they do a minute. Every every league has a different format for I mean for in the NBA it's restricted free agency. So I mean you couldn't. Hamstring teams the blazers have done it they had done to them without a crowd but yeah is basically the model in the NBA gives a good point but but it's different because you're negotiating with other teams them also long term deals verses like a franchise tag of its exclusive that's still one year deal they're very true. You know I I I like to think that baseball has the best model not just being a baseball homer I don't like figure undercut club control for six years that's a music is a sizable amount of time sixers big league service that is. But what I liked most about the arbitration system is that you get to go argue year old case. Now with a Kirk cousins type of Larry's getting get paid a lot of money and mobile talk about him later in the show. But they just basically said what the levels going to be free to position after quarterback this week you get running back this which you get wide receiver. So on and so forth and and let these guys are making good money. But what I like about the arbitration system is at legitimately is a court case is it's my side vs your side and a lot of times the team in the play are able to settle. What if you're not you legit go in front of an independent arbitrator and say hey I deserve this amount of money the team says Null and and based on facts they decide about the amount of money they're gonna pay. Hey yeah because I was out I was thinking about the franchise tag is your your your right parsley is there's restricted free agency in the NBA on the if you just did a franchise tag. Exactly the same in the MBA. I housing Portland might be a great case for the franchise tag where you can pay CJ after last year the franchise tag. For the one year you pay him twenty some million for one season. May be given the tag two years in a row see how it works out I have two years later you don't like what's going on that you know a 100% that it's never gonna work. You want you write our way to move on from that in and you go another route I you can use that for other players as well I can Allen Crabbe type of situation if he wasn't restricted free Asia Allen Crabbe is another gonna go to guy that I kind of burst on the scene last year good role player but what do you think what are you actually have their long term and if you're able to get on the franchise tag for year maybe next year you're not willing to give them the sizable contract or match what he would get on the open market yes so Adrian Peterson as we tied a franchise tags Adrian Peterson and Jamaal Charles both basically released today. Up Peterson. Said to just seen Anderson NB SP and it's been a great ten years with the Minnesota Vikings. They know what I bring to the organization as a player with my work ethic and dedication I spoke with a Rick spiel when the GM. This past weekend the door still open to find some common ground I understand addressing the offensive line is one of their main priorities. This offseason. And SP human basically said the same thing we think Adrian Peterson he's always gonna be considered a viking maybe we can come to a conclusion here and and reach a deal for less money. But it's also we have to think about both sides in what's best for both sides to more Charles. Look he was really banged up Jamaal Charles really hasn't had a huge impact in almost two seasons. And he was like go by the cheese which is a huge surprise. Meaning either of these guys are going to be coveted by a serious contender they have to be right I mean did they again it gets back to a toll. Romo cut argument from me of what what's their asking price and what do they want if Adrian Peterson wants to be paid is one of the best running backs in the league know there's going to be a small list of suitors but. If he's in a situation now at 31 he's turning 32 later this month. That he's just trying to cling onto a winner and he's trying to join a team and as a chance to make a run. And he's willing to play at play for an incentive type contract where if I played twelve games or fifteen games or get to 800 or 900 yards or so many touchdowns. That's when my contract cakes and why would you not take a chance on a player like that and am win when you read kind of what he's told some people around him. The teams that he look at Manny mentioned Houston. Size mentioned Tampa Bay. He's mention New York those are kind of three of misfits that he want to know about Dallas other than Minnesota obvious CNN Dallas you know being the dead. The local area forum if you're one of those teams. I went to take a chance on if you can get them on a good deal for one year. I think that's always the bigger that's the bigger concern right is what's the contract you can get for an Adrian Peterson. Because when he plays there's no doubt the impact may be he finally hits that running back law he's Jimmie 32 in March. It's hard to imagine guys how. Past the age of thirty doing anything Frank Gore is an exception to that rule as well not many guys do know and you just wonder at what point does he fall off that cliff dealing with the injury issues that he's had in the past. But you're right if he stays a left field. I mean you mentioned team like Tampa Bay. I don't know of their league jet a Super Bowl contender for next season but they still have to be considered a contender to win that division. If not give back or get to the post season for the first time in awhile so I think with he might that it makes sense. I think sometimes we also over rate some of these guys for sure and they're sure sale later Peterson's on the market. The Seahawks or all the patriots or. The Steelers are filling whoever great traditional NFL team that we've had the last five years fill in the blank should go get him that makes a ton a sense. And we see sometimes these guys don't wanna go get them. Null in England in the name on BC carries a lot of weight and maybe that's the reason we put a lot of stock in this signing. I just I view it as if he could be a change of pace guy I mean you're you're not gonna rely on him for 2530 carries a game and every time he's come up this offseason. I brought that up like he's not going to be your war course he's not going to be your feature back I just don't think he has that any more. Even though last year are two dozen fifteen he went for 14100 yards so we did have a good year coming up the year in which she was suspended. That's to me is the entry go in terms of im gonna be 32. You look at two of the last three seasons he's played he's not played at all yeah outlook now grant alas it was begun. He'll think he's healthy but 2014 item playoff season because of the suspension. But in one game I you know the twenty carries seventy yards that was it that he was done for the rest of the year. So the last two or three years or haven't been a lot of wired Turner's body and he is just always seem like what do those physical specimens that. If you could do it past the age of thirty. Adrian Peterson can do what I mean he did the the ACL stuff Connolly to lowly 2829. When he came back equally Sione eight Indy came back in and that 2000 yard season and that's I mean even at that age that's a pretty good feat for running back and we're getting a lot of tax on Adrian Peterson a 55305. This is a good point who needs a running back. The Green Bay Packers. If Ty Montgomery right now is a running back. The feature back thing is the most difficult part is Adrian Peterson truly steely feature racked maybe with the right offensive line but. I don't think some of these teams are looking for running backs necessarily house. Dallas cowboy offensive line you Phnom maybe not even close to that with Green Bay that's an interesting one. I don't know feature back is tough I just I don't see that at thirty I can either but fifteen carries a game. Tends to argue that might be featured back and got an. And as sounding NFL depending on the offense or insurer but if you Carolina for 1015 touches use him in the screen game use him as a third down back he's been goal line situations. There's a lot of those since he could just think of and in an accused is another good one New York can be a good one to help Eli Manning and I'm passing game out a little bit. Tampa Bay and terms I mean they were close to make the playoffs last year maybe he's apiece against them over the hump and into the post season. If I'm Adrian Peterson I guess I wanna wanna rain and and that is how I would identify the right fit for me is the team that has a lot of pieces they just need a little boost in the run game. And and almost to make an example like a lick your line worries not asked to do a lot New England but occasionally against a weak rush defense so goal for a 120 yards. But for the most part it's Tom Brady's offense and he's just there to help. Out let me ask you this though with New England new England's not gonna franchise tag Donta hightower who made the huge strip sack fumble. In the super ruled iconic gave New England that extra possession they desperately needed. Outside of New England because I don't think that's realistic we always label new England and say won't doing a little bit that veteran guy and they never really do tell it's too late. Stephen Jackson is an example. What team do you would you go to U single win a ring right so if you exclude New England I go to green bay of losing Green Bay gives you your best shot. And I mean there's questions about whether young listeners are bringing a seven AuthenTec signed. About Green Bay and they're kind of strict medical conditions that would shift to pass and ordered to be signed there are also kinda cheap they are kinda cheap there's no doubt about that. But they they have a wide receiver playing running back or Ty Montgomery is a great athlete and he had a couple of great games towards the end of the season. Is that somebody gonna rely on all season and I would much rather use him is that kind of versatile player that he is. And a major Peterson around for 1012 carries a game just to help Aaron Rodgers out because. He go back to that Atlanta playoff game they lost the NFC title game. And they got behind me Boller or they could run ball may honors didn't have any help and then you just you can't ask a quarterback to do it on its one ending that is. I think that right their dirt is the most difficult part for a guy like Adrian Peterson he may still end up in Minnesota again for. You know I cheaper contract in Guinea a beefed up offensive line to help him in and whoever else they wanna run the ball with next year. I did a fine like the best on Steve do you Super Bowl. That's got to be the worst part for veterans some guys can hit it. It's tough but take like a Tony Gonzales is great example shows Atlanta inland it would lead NFC title game his first year and wanting to see Amanda they make the policies in the next year or two years after that so. It's always tough to identify like where you're gonna go win a championship. Kirk cousins got franchise tag today. Any and I sold tweet with tag I'm it. Do you still think Washington trade him though. I. Or will they work out a long term deal we'll talk about that next they raise awareness yeah. A lot of people are texting in about Adrian Peterson. Somebody said he Chansi Adrian Peterson goes to Seattle I've seen Seattle we had Merrill Hodge earlier in Cleveland Merrill hod for the NFL reporter palm that suggested maybe team like Seattle could look form. Thomas Rawls I don't think he's proven that he can stay healthy. Who did they have after Rawls last year when he released they might rotated guys all they had a bunch of guys get hurt they have pros size the roadside those but he got bank got a rookie from Arkansas Alex Collins yeah. Maybe a. I think she wants to you know get thirty snaps or forty snaps and 25 series. I don't know that Seattle's the place for him but. Certainly no one and for Seattle's just gonna depend on the asking price what are you really think Minnesota stacks up. We do this every year by the way we easily dismiss things where he's Minnesota realistically stacks up. As a contender for him based on a really good defense is on his Sam Bradford is there. I disease one of those guys and put a ceiling on it's unfair Alaska's there's quarterbacks I support the people do that too but I don't think Sam Bradford won and is their biggest problem is their offensive line can't protect Denny running so you know they'd beef that up now they have some salary cap space. Minnesota you mean yeah yeah he addressed that in his statement he said -- like clearly they want to address the offensive line did it was the right move from Minnesota he was gonna make eighteen million dollars and next yours is six million dollar yen twelve million on base and a six million roster bonus so into that just too much money for guides 32 you use it better you you could spread that money around if you get a couple of solid offensive lineman and then maybe draft one. With all that money yeah I I wouldn't dismiss that out of him potentially going back he may end up going to our franchise. I stoning that's realistic because maybe now that they've had. Bradford there for most of last season. On May be trust that he knows the system really well you make the offensive line better given some pass bro we know how good their defense can be. Maybe to Greece to do that against so Adrian Peterson is going to be somebody when he mentioned Jamaal Charles by the way to Jamaal Charles also a free agent who would you rest. And though all Peter's leadership and an army team that can't stay healthy act guys really had a struggle bus for like 23 years now same exact problem as is it's really difficult to trust him he's. He's fallen off we got a falling off the cliff for running backs he's one that's really done that. He had a great stretch there where he's one of three people and and a Phillies through a Jim brown and Barry Sanders. Five straight years of a thousand yards or more in averaging five yards per carry gap is on he just couldn't stay on the field is rarefied air we know about the speed is well. Arms and if your team that needed a third down back and you know could catch in. Do all sorts of things but you didn't have to rely on him to be your world course than not great but what how much is that really worth coupled two and a half three million a year. To pay for him I don't know of tomb Jamal's gonna be satisfied with that and he may have no choice spite. If he's looking for you know two or three year deal to go somewhere and be the guy I don't know where he's gonna get that all right. Well franchise tagging is going on and a rough left and right all over the NFL and Kirk cousins got tagged today. I like yo I Kirk cousins he tweeted tag I Mitt. Is finally awareness that you yeah I think he knew it was Karen we talked to lobby when you're guaranteed to get 25 million bucks at least he has got the he's got the exclusive franchise tag which basically means no other teams can negotiate with him right eyed Josh Norman went through the franchise tag situation. And in who was at Washington's under the contract Carolina since seal later. Kirk cousins is not gonna have to deal with that Kirk cousins can see exclusive franchise tag. And he will be in Washington although some people have not thrown out the possibility. That maybe he still ends up in a trade his camp came out and has told multiple sources. If he's going to leave Washington he prefers to go. To see you Francisco where he can be met up again with Kyle Shanahan who is is OC in Washington his rookie year. He loves couch in any was the OC in Washington when he was drafted by the Redskins and they obviously evident connection. I'd just let everybody knows talk about Kirk cousins eyes I don't understand why he's not deserving of a long term contract at this point the fact that he once again has to go improve themselves and on top of that list is bad business from Washington. They have to pay more the franchise tag went up he's the first quarterback by the way and history the NFL. Who's got a franchise tag back to back years the numbers back up that he is a franchise guy I mean just look at the last two seasons. He's got the fourth most passing yards in the NFL 54 touchdowns 23 picks which is a good ratio. Is QB rating is sixth best in the league over the last two years in his QB are whether you wanna play any validity to it is fourth best in the NFL the last two seasons so. Matted to use a crappy TV show name but numbers don't lie and his numbers back companies a franchise franchise guy. And you you mentioned the trade and maybe San Francisco being a play which I have I've heard the same exact thing but. What leverage as Washington got a house. Thank you you have them now for one more season he's going to be a free agent next year. So if you're San Francisco and and you're getting when they Kirk cousins once the play for Kyle Shanahan maybe Kirk cousins is not happy with the fact he's still once again ask to prove himself. What's gonna stop him from just walking in signing with San Francisco next year in less you have to get in a bidding war to keep him at which point you're gonna have to pay him that franchise type deal. And make in the long term quarterback can pay him more than another team is willing to offer like he he is deserving of the deal that's one point the other point yours is this just bad business by Washington. Well the Redskins can negotiate with cousins on a long term deal. With cousins until July 15 so Washington has until midsummer to reach a deal if they don't. I don't know what to tell you it's it's really going to be interesting to see if they decide to give him that big contract. He's gonna make 23 point 94 million under the franchise tag. On so he's gonna make franchise quarterback money for a season for the second year in a row. But Washington still is not willing to give him that long term deal at least as of now they may come to their senses. They may say you know what are equal pay twenty million a season you don't how Steve Kirk cousins I know he's gonna make 23 point nine. Would he take a contract that's long term where you give him twenty year may be some good up front chair. I that he would I think it's pretty evident he wants he long term contract. And even if you don't by Kirk cousins does this. Organization. Carrying type quarterback you can't argue with the production. You can't argue with the division title and a playoff appearance you can tell me division was doubtless so what he still led the team to be better than everybody else and Activision. What else do you do if you're Washington you don't reach a deal let them tell me what your alternative plan as you go draft a guy. Great let's wait two years for we talk about them. We just don't know with Dan Snyder to have much patience he has for for Jay gruden or even their GMC GPS and he's really dreading the franchise tag and Washington are signed long term San Francisco I mean you always take the line term contract you're gonna get great signing bonus money yeah especially knowing that Palestinians going to be there I mean he sent a six year deal so I can't imagine a more acting on until at least three years have gone by right in the niners a boarding come around so they're not looking for short term stopgap so react so I I don't see them using that number two pick for quarterback and and it's just something they may -- letter they may go defense lawyer and I think any easy just I mean sucks for another year you don't want tank I mean obviously there's pressure on them to win but you're not under. A lot of scrutiny to go out and find that guy right away play at quarterback for one season no matter who it is and then of Kirk cousins is a free agent next year and Kyle Shanahan thinks he can turn amended the franchise guy that he believes he is got sign an Exxon seasonal long term contract yeah I mean for me the franchise tag like the money's great for the one seizing your under it 23 point nine. I doubt he would get a 23. To 24 million a year contract. What's in your like the highest paid quarterback and he's at what 233 year when you break it down there. No I think the main thing for dozens isn't going to be thought cousins is to just not have a devastating injury. That's the pressure that he's honored that's the pressure to get your vote you know no doubt but the beauty for ms. at least he's guaranteed that money. We alerted measure last year your twenties when he nineteenth warning some summer I was so any change everyday and doing things steepener reckless and he just took these two years and basically banked at all. Then he. Can kind of go worry wants to see what the best offer is the best fit of opportunity to win vs money on the table. But if it just these last two years apiece gonna make her 45 million which means after taxes and everything you should have 25 million in the bank. And he's good. Yell what it and I think it's also wanting to let them to a lot of does he look at these quarterback contracts they get misreported. Again the Brock Rottweiler is an example of this real look at the amount of money you think wow how does he get that much. It's it's a two years and then you could kind of beacon wash your hands with them it's not 72 million is 369 at eighteen for the yet a year we'll see they'll hole easy going out and out and we've done this with Colin cabinet member when he signed as long term contract and it was very miss reported because. There wasn't a lot of guaranteed money in and no niners now probably to get out of this offseason Lloyds up to him actions on Danielle it's into with a Ryan Daniel you to Ryan Danny knows dear how do you pay and how much money. All these deals are very team friendly yen in Washington could do the same thing with Kirk cousins if they wanted where. He give them for five years and it's a two years and we'll see again you still don't believe in him as your franchise guy. Given two more years. Guaranteed contract for the first two seasons if he doesn't produce the production is a Marine One you wash your hands with it you move on you trying to find that a guy. I know it's a pretty heavy seahawk packer steeler. Market that we live in raiders as well I know is a lot of those fans out there in the private listening right now right. Let's say you're not a fan of one of those franchises let's say your team. Is devoid of a quarterback. Or they're sitting with a guy that has done literally nothing a plague morals is an example right. Would you want Kirk cousins as your franchise quarter would you want your team to sign a French your guys a French escorting a listener asked that you be our poll question we just simple question. I don't think what that is on the side of the break. They have to explain it yeah but I think that's a valid question so data example I tend to be a little bit of a niner fan I have been most in my life. What I want Kirk cousins is a franchise guy. What other options do I have at this point what are options does a fan for Tina doesn't have a quarterback have your your big you're basically telling him to. Bank on the possibility of a draft pick. Or hoping for round why so even though I don't think her cousins can carry a team. I Dubai and if he has the right pieces around him you may see this for a few other guys as well. He can get you to a decent point yeah I decided I agree 100% and he he's one of those guys is not gonna carry a team but the point I'll always bring up how many of those guys are there. Handful realistically you Aaron Rodgers on Tom Brady and we need endless amount of variation it's a very short list of guys he can say don't really matter what's around the would win every single year. Everybody else needs a semblance of health you may say there's only two. In the entirely that carries a franchise of saying. With ex quarterback Eugene can be banged up. Be missing huge guys on offense and this guy will overcome it Brady absolutely be some new this year we see him do in the past. And we know Rogers can do it not only from this year. Back that is talent speaks to it but we saw them do it this year as well. Idling Ryans there are only Drew Brees in that conversation I don't mean Roethlisberger isn't that conversation. It made SP two quarterbacks in the entire NFL that have that ability yet and it's it's I mean we're at the point now all of a look at a Kurd urged her for a guy that how often you see quarterback that he younger in their career. You make the argument they're in their prime. They can get free agency. And if he's not traded or design a long term deal of Washington. That's for is going to be next year is going to be a free agent he's just unreal and they just a knew what was the last time I mean Peyton Manning was he unique example proceed in play for the urea and next are neck surgery though Tony romo's doing it this year it sounds like he's gonna get cut but the incident again different example 'cause he's been banged up. Did you just not many examples of a quarterbacks that are recordable franchise guys that are basically allowed to walk yet speaking of Tony Romo you're right he is supposedly. Gonna be released in the next couple of weeks. If Tony Romo were to join Houston Texans with a B the AFC favorite. And also. Don't count out the ability of one man that could change everything in the Tony Romo destination that's next on the fan poll question on Twitter. And are you a cat person or a dog person. And if you're going what they know why would you do apple question you're talking football. It's a valid question and answer just inside. All say today I'm officially I no longer present them a dog person. I have a cat a rescued cat for my lawyer you guys have like a little spread on the I saw that. Your daughter and and Catholics celebrities man. Why didn't they didn't like the dead place do elect a feature on on your dot earner cap I thought I saw some I got on social media today really yeah they like this is JE NG adopted the cat another best friends kind of saying like us on FaceBook it was a pot yeah I think it was on FaceBook why haven't seen it having been told about any of that. Yeah I think your wife put it up unfazed because it goes a great positive story and a household don't even know about it what's going on in everybody's lives and we know who wears the pants are I'm officially dog person because today had to get my cat and Emma. So Lou yeah. I James had suddenly it's back job do bad things start happening anyways at that did not panic impact yet are we did ask this because we're curious we asked because we're going into a story would Joseph Thomas. Somebody I really enjoy as of late in the media offensive lineman. And he brought up you're really good point talking about the com mind and that involves that question are you a cat person. Or are you a dog person so we're curious to that ties into some NFL come on talk a little later on the show. And I wanted get to this real quick before we did Tony Romo on I think this is what this is who Kirk cousins is dirt I think it is always going to be who we is Intel he. Wins a big playoff game or gets to like a conference championship game at the very least. And it's a tweet that we guide. From one of our. Last game a year how'd that work out hash tag prove it. As I look look I. I understand the sentiment I do. He's been a starting quarterback any NFL for two years on isn't the same argument for Harry Romo. I mean what's Tony Romo actually done as so many guys easy to do therefore we need done. Proven to be what do you gleaning what is he done based on 54 touchdowns in two years is starting quarterback I mean outside of Tom Brady who can really answer that question. And Touche Aaron Rodgers he won one Peyton Manning but he's gone Big Ben may be Andrew but he's been nuke a conference championship game one on the same argument fragile Iraq. What's yeah I don't know got no they got into an argument last he's got to cover sought and got blown up by knowing when they did yeah complain about inflated football's like crybaby selloffs and they played it depleted Peyton Manning who torn hamstring was Hillary's and got there in the first place yet and it is around. Thought I understand lady if you don't love Kirk cousins top ten guy I'd get that yeah. To discredit him as quick prove it like. He's still needs to go out there and throw I have another 29 touchdown season and then you'll believe we'll how many years of those kind of numbers does he have to put up YCID where people are coming from when they say I will counteract though. And just kinda hard with one little thing that you said. We do forget he's been a starter for just two seasons two years. So how many sacking your quarterbacks would you go all irony no lights years. Can you really make that definitive statement I always make the argument quarterbacks and we've talked a lot of Mario and and Winston because they're both going into their third years we did it's now the car and in Oakland going into this past season. I look at year three is a starter that's the year that we find out now why I also don't like comparing the numbers. To him to a rookie and sophomore quarterback because he was in the league for three years and he had a chance to kind of settle settle little bit and supine RG three Ian. Understand and learn the offense for awhile before he was asked to play a big roles so there is a difference and I won't compare his numbers to what rookie and sophomores do. But I do believe year three is a starting quarterback is is when you find out. Who the guy is and there's no reason for me I think his numbers are gonna go down big to win drastically up besides first touchdown passes. From his first year to a second yours what reason to I had to bleed to go down in your three. Yeah I just for comparisons they and no skill set we dis is an even close. I was just thing about air Rodgers does air Roger somewhat similar sitting up for our line Favre sure first year six intend Green Bay was garbage. The next year though to his credit and again and skill set we get it. Eleven and five in year to you I don't know if people are expecting Aaron Rodgers with the care cousins if you are you're you're sadly mistaken. On but it is interesting sakic here's a starter what is your three going to be that's seems to be a big one Tony Romo we are reported that Ed werder. Said that Tony Romo basically told him he expects to be released and people are expecting the release. Within a week or two to Dallas to move on because of all the cap flexibility would give home they would say five point one against the cap if they released him. Dropping his cap hit from 24. I 1019 million. If they designated him as a post June 1 release. However they could split the cap hit over the 20172018. Seasons incurring a twelve point seven million charge in the first year. And eight point nine in the second so Romo is going to be on the market. And it's a very rare occurrence it's Peyton Manning like. And a lot of people point of the Houston Texans as the potential destination a new Kansas city's been thrown out there but right now I think the favorite for most. Our Houston Texans. There is a guy with a big teeth that's somewhat classified as a good looking man known that I think could put a wrench into this whole conversation. And don't sleep on it by the way. John Elway. And the Denver Broncos yeah he's really easy to dismiss it and they Lowe's I didn't Texas and indoor stadium. John no way he has a track record now of winning a super bowl of getting a veteran quarterback in turning the career around a little bit. Everybody talks about the other two teams I'm not count now Denver at all in this contest. When you shouldn't because when you look at defense is an all around pieces there they're right there was used and they won a Super Bowl basically without a quarterback two years ago and if you Tony Romo. Yet the liquor lips about that a little bit saying that would be a great fit if crop grow mold those are the two destinations that I look at first. Kansas city's intriguing but we don't know what the Alex Smith situation is in three been willing to move on from Alex. So I think you look at Houston you look at Denver right away and this to me is the big domino we ought to wait and see fall now we know kind of a timeline of when he will be released in that he will be released. And now it's up to where he wants to go play and what teams can often the best deal but if I set it off season I still believe it at Tony Romo can stay healthy. Where where ever he goes immediately changes the playoff picture for next season and the Super Bowl picture from my mind if he's in Denver he's healthy. I give them a great chance of beating New England they did it two years ago at home in the AFC title game if he goes to Houston he brought this up last week we were talking about the Texans and their situation. They gave knowing little run in the first half they release the Audi stymied Atlanta offense so they could do I think the second half ultimately Tom Brady found a way to beat them. And maybe the patriots were kind of sleepwalking a little bit but that defense is great they find a quarterback man that changes everything and that this is the big domino falling out good John Elway Dan birdie goody Houston. One's proven once again and yet unless they were all just gotta gotta be willing to play in cold weather and you gotta go out of market but we said the same thing about Peyton Manning wanted to only once warm weather. He went to Denver he won a Super Bowl no. Doubt about that somebody made in the point two on the tax line out why legal aid has over drop below for two games but we proved to her cousins were to top salt seasons the million dollar question a man adds I can't answer that one outlook or again. The docs for crunch time as they're potentially doing something very interesting it's not something I've seen a lot but. We'll bring it up to you we've got our NFL true or false of course we'll talk and Zagat as a one seed but we start hour two with body diva. Who said if they teams are better in two years. He'll quit. Is that an idiotic or genius thing to say our tutored spring is next on Portland sports leader 1080 the fan.
